Aaron Gutierrez is a Pueblo native whose path to public service has taken him from Southern Colorado to the White House and back home again.
A graduate of Colorado College, Aaron worked with the El Pomar Foundation and served in the White House Office of Legislative Affairs during the Obama Administration. He later worked on improving Colorado’s criminal justice system as a judicial law clerk and with Pueblo's Veterans Treatment Court.
Aaron is also a brain cancer survivor, an experience that shapes his commitment to making healthcare accessible and affordable for everyone. He supports expanding Medicaid access, strengthening Colorado's public health system, and continuing to build toward affordable healthcare for all.
His campaign is rooted in a simple idea: Pueblo's representative should listen to Pueblo first. Aaron has centered his campaign around affordability and economic opportunity, public safety and judicial reform, and public health and environmental protection.
At a time when Southern Colorado needs leaders who will fight for investment rather than letting Pueblo be an afterthought, Aaron is running to make sure the community that raised him has a strong voice in the State Senate.
